I am shocked by the news of Joe's passing! I met Joe shortly after he opened Reales. We hung around together back in the day. The last time I saw Joe was about two years ago. My condolences to his family and children. Rest easy my friend. Until we meet again. 🙏💔

Sometimes life isn't fair and this is one of those times. I met Joe when my family moved to Charles Street in 1977. I was 9 yrs old and "Joey" as he was affectionately known as was just a bigger than life person/personality. He was just amazing on the basketball court as a teenager. He was literally the Italian Dr. J.
I'm just so saddened to hear of his way too premature passing! Joe you will certainly be missed, may God bless you my man!

I am so sad to hear about Joey's passing. Growing up in our neighborhood, neighbors were like family and we looked out for each other. Although time and distance separates, hearing of Joe takes me right back to those days. Prayers to the Mirabelli family. May his loss strengthen the relationships of those left behind.

We are heartbroken. My cousin, my buddy is gone too soon. He was beloved by all of his Canadian cousins and we will cherish his last visit here. We had a wonderful visit just like old times. Memories of all our trips between Toronto and Philly. All those 9 hour drives back and forth. All the Canadian and US cousins together and now we are missing one. Rest in Peace my cousin. Joe and my Frank Barros my significant other who passed away in 2014 were good friends in life and now they have been reunited in Heaven. RIP my dear friend Joey and may God Bless your family.
