The Galzerano Funeral Home was established in 1917 by Luigi and Jennie Galzerano. We began in Bristol, PA where we served the communities of St. Anne’s and St. Mark’s Church. Luigi and Jennie had three sons: Vincent, Louis, and Joseph.
In 1932, Vincent moved to the Tacony section of Philadelphia at 7155 Torresdale Avenue where he served the community of Our Lady of Consolation Church. He later moved the business across the street to its existing location and 7158 Torresdale Avenue.
Through Vincent’s hard work and involvement in various civic and community organizations, he grew the business in Tacony while also sustaining the funeral home in Bristol. He was very involved in the Sons of Italy of America where he grew to the position of National Treasurer. Vincent married Irma Mignogna of Holmesburg and had two children, Louis and Joanne.
In 1978, Vincent and Louis opened the funeral home in the Bustleton section that now serves as our main location. Through years of experience, we now serve many new families and have continued to serve families for generations throughout the Philadelphia and surrounding areas.
Currently the funeral home is in its fourth generation of operation. The funeral home is currently owned by Vince Galzerano and his wife Maggie. The location at 7158 Torresdale Avenue closed in 2018 but we continue to proudly serve Northeast Philadelphia and the surrounding area.
