Joanne Perry (Burgoon)

Joanne Perry (nee Burgoon) passed away peacefully on March 26, 2024, with her loving family by her side. Joanne was preceded in death by her eternally loving husband Thomas (2013). Loving and affectionate mother of Thomas J, (Amy), Jamie McCourt and Emily Carey (Jason). Cherished mom-mom of 7; Abigail, McKenzie, Colin, Thomas, Nate, Lilly and Ryan. Beloved sister to Patricia Pollock (Denis). Admired Aunt too: Elizabeth, Kimberly (Brian), Stephen, Danielle (Ryan), Kristie and Maura (Daniel). Treasured niece of Joyce Booth. She is preceded in death by her brother Edward Burgoon, sister-in-law Helen Burgoon, Son-in-law James McCourt and her uncle Thomas Booth.

Joanne was born in Philadelphia on September 9th, 1954, to Joan and Gene Burgoon. She grew up in Philadelphia where she attended grade school at St. Helena’s parish and high school at Cardinal Dougherty. Joanne went to Women’s Medical College where she became a Lab Technician. She then moved to Florida where she met her husband, Tom. She eventually moved back to Philadelphia, married Tom and raised 3 wonderful children. Joanne changed careers and spent many years as an Activities Director at various assisted living centers and nursing homes in the Philadelphia area. Joanne will be greatly missed.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Wednesday morning, April 3, 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Maternity BVM church, 9220 Old Bustleton Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19115. Immediately followed by her Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM.

Interment is the following day April 4, 2024 at Washington Crossing National Cemetery 830 Highland Rd., Newtown, Pa. 18940 precisely at 11:30 AM.
