Francine Huebner

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Francine Huebner, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend. Francine passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday April 11, 2023, after her courageous battle with Stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

Francine was born the youngest of 12 children to Mary and Rudolph Huebner in the Mayfair section of Philadelphia. Her family was everything to her, and she cherished the time spent with her siblings, nieces, and nephews. Despite the challenges that came with being the youngest in a large family, Francine grew up to be a fiercely independent woman with a heart of gold.

Her love of style, clothing, and dancing was legendary. Francine was known as a fashionista to her friends, always impeccably dressed and ready to hit the dance floor. She loved animals, flowers, dolls, and Cadillac’s, and her passions were reflected in her home and her style.

Francine was a devoted mother to her children: Frances Barlow (Bruce Barlow), Joseph Huebner (Jacqueline Dillon), Joyce Gallagher (Mark Gallagher), and Denise Barrett (Jon Barrett). Her children and her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she was always there to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. She was also a loving companion and dance partner of 14 years to John Lerro (Johnny Midnight), with whom she shared many wonderful memories.

Francine had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren, Bruce, Ashley, Brooke, Danielle, Joseph, Brittany, Dylan, Harry, Brayslin, Mark Anthony, Kristina, Joseph, Brianna, Shayna, Chase, James, Kimberly, Justin and Jay and 20 great-grandchildren. She loved spending time with them, listening to their stories, and spoiling them with love and attention. She was a source of endless love and support, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Francine was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Jaskiewicz, sons Carroll Ott and James Jaskiewicz, and granddaughter Alexis. Although she experienced great loss in her life, she remained a positive force, always looking for ways to uplift others.

Francine will forever be remembered for her love of life and her indomitable spirit. She was often seen dancing the night away several nights a week at the Laughing Fox, where she will be forever memorialized by the drink named after her “The Francine”. Her legacy will live on through her family and friends, who will always remember her as a loving and vibrant force in their lives.

Rest in peace, dear Francine. Good night and God Bless you. You will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
