Louis Folino

Louis Joseph Folino of the Tacony section of Philadelphia, passed away peacefully on September 26th, 2024, where he was also born to Fedele “Fred” Folino and Louise (Galzerano) Folino on October 3rd, 1944.

Louis is survived by his children; Fedele Folino (Robin) and Patricia “Jippy” Averona (Michael) and their mother Patricia Finney.  He will be missed by his grandchildren; Sonny, Franki, Gia, Johnnie, Lucy, and Michael who he loved and teased constantly.  He was also loved by his brother Dominic Folino (Patricia) and his nephews Joseph, Dominic, and Marcus (who loved the “Driller.)

Louis worked at Allied Chemical and after retiring bartended at various local spots.  He loved his neighborhood friends especially at the Sons of Italy.

He was an avid sports fan and was an all-star athlete at Father Judge High School.  Louis could also crush the ball on the golf course (or so he said,)

He was preceded in death by his brother Fedele “Freddie” Folino.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, October 1st from 9:45 to 10:45am at Our Lady of Consolation Church, Tulip St. and Princeton Ave.  Phila PA 19135.  His Funeral Mass will follow at 11am.  Interment St. Dominic Cemetery.
