Teresa Oliver (Senske) Service Information

Sara Teresa Oliver (nee Senske) of Philadelphia, PA passed away peacefully on June 14, 2024, at Paul’s Run Retirement Community, at the age of 91.

Terry is preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Louis Oliver “Bob”. She is survived by their children Joseph Oliver, Teresa Cain, Robert (Jing) Oliver, Colleen (Timothy) Malpezzi, and 8 grandchildren. Born the youngest of seven to the late Joseph and Sara (Heany) Senske, she is now reunited with her sister Grace Petner, and brothers Rev. Joseph Senske, Francis (Bud) Senske, Julius (Jules) Senske, Robert (Bob) Senske and John (Jack) Senske. 

She was known to all as Mom, Terry, Mama O, or Grandmom. For most of her 91 years she lived life fiercely, defining the role of mother, wife, grandmom, aunt, friend, taxi driver, pinochle player, and Ocean City beach beauty. 

Terry captained her Nazareth Academy high school basketball team, and continued that role of Captain in everything that she did - from the jobs she held, to her volunteer positions, with her group of friends, and most of all, in the family that she led. She led by her actions, with empathy, loyalty, humility, and bravery. When building a team, Terry was your first pick.

A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, June 19, at Maternity BVM Church, 9220 Old Bustleton Avenue, Phila PA 19115. Celebrating life is what she did, so we will honor that. A viewing will begin at 9AM followed by her Funeral Mass at 10AM.  Interment Holy Cross Cemetery, Yeadon. PA.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her name to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
