Joann Leshner (DeCecco) Service Information

Joann Leshner (nee DeCecco) our beautiful Angel, Mother, MomMom, and friend passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on March 10th, 2022. She was 83 years old and fabulous. Joann was born in Philadelphia, PA on August 10th, 1938 and was the youngest of five children. Her parents were Maurice DeCecco and Blanch (nee Millhouse). She is the loving mother of Sheri Perna and her husband Fiore, and Rick Leshner and his wife Dawn (nee Reiling). She is also the loving MomMom of Samantha Perna, Stefani Perna, and Olivia Leshner. 

Joann’s passion was dancing, cooking, and spending time with her family. As a teenager, she frequently danced on Bandstand. She could regularly be found doing a word search puzzle while drinking coffee, or watching her favorite shows Raymond and the Golden Girls. Joann loved listening to music, enjoying a glass of wine, and going out to eat. Her ultimate favorite thing to do was to go shopping. In the summertime Joann would vacation in Wildwood, NJ with her family & friends. On Sunday’s she enjoyed Italian family dinners at her best friend's house, Carmella. Joann always made everyone smile. 

Joann was a very strong woman and overcame many obstacles in her life. Joann was loved by all that met her. She will forever be missed and holds a special place in our hearts. Her light may be extinguished, but it will live on in all of those who were lucky enough to see her shine. 

A Celebration of Life is being held on Wednesday, March 16th, 2022. Visitation will begin at 10am followed by her Funeral Mass at 11am at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 611 Knowles Avenue, Southampton, PA 18966.
