Domenico Cerruti Service Information

Domenico A. (Don) Cerruti, Jr., 78, of Huntingdon Valley, passed away suddenly on January 13, 2022, in Del Ray Beach, Florida.  Born in Rhawnhurst, PA, Don was the son of the late Domenico and Mildred (nee Salerno).  He grew up in Holmesburg and attended St. Domenic’s grade school, Father Judge High School and Pierce College.  Don was a retired contractor and builder – building apartments, small shopping centers and homes across Northeast Philadelphia. 

Beloved husband to the love of his life Lena (Lee nee Holland) and devoted brother to Florence Filoso (Rocco), Maryanne Daniel (Bob), Vito (Cindy), Bernadette Costanzo (Lou), Rosemarie Pedicino (Al) and John (Betty).  Don is predeceased by his brother Michael.  Don was stepfather to Omar Marion and Poppy Don to Jordyn. 

Adored uncle to 19 nieces and nephews and 32 great nieces and nephews.  Don’s love for his family had no limits - he was the airport shuttle, the project manager, the keeper of secrets, the movie man, the donut man, the storyteller, Sunday pool director and the heart and soul of the family.  He dedicated his life to hard work and providing for his family.

Don greeted everyone he knew with his infectious smile, boisterous laugh and often a box of donuts.  His larger-than-life personality will be missed by everyone that knew him. 

Relatives and friends are invited to call Monday, January 24, 2022, from 9:30 am – 10:30 am at St. Albert the Great Church, 212 Welsh Rd.  Huntingdon Valley, PA.  Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 am.  Interment will be private.  In lieu of flowers, please send memorial donations in Don’s name to St. Albert the Great Church.
