Layla BevanTuesday, September 12th

Since this obituary doesn’t reflect how great he was I am sharing my favorite memories with my dad, Chaz Bevan
Dancing on my dads feet
How he would like to wake me up by poking me
Our horror movies when mom was away bc she was too scared to watch them with us
Throwing me in the pool
Driving me to get dip n dots at all hours
Always said he loves my hair when i thought it looked bad
How he would always rip me and Chaz’s “gills” out
Midnight swims
Teaching me to drive with no permit or license
How he would mimic the funny faces I made
How after we did anything fun I would say we had to do it again bc it was a “tradition”
How he always tried to feed me meat
How he let me ruin all his good white tee shirts dying my hair
How when he hugged me he was always so warm and his shirt always smelt like bleach even if it wasn’t white
How he could make me laugh so hard to the point where I couldn’t breathe
How he always would do anything for me but always acted like he was thinking about it (I think in hopes of not spoiling me too much)

More memories of my dad
Playing the games at Dave’s and busters
How he would always try to sneak 20 blankets on me while I slept bc he knew I would kick them off in the middle of the night
Going on the speedboat in Maryland and me and my mom kept getting splashed
How he loves going mini golfing and didn’t care where or what he had to do to beat me and my mom
When he got Chaz a game he wanted so bad even though he thought it was too violent then laughed as Chaz played it. He got it for him because he knew how much he wanted it tho and that’s all that mattered
How much dad loved Chaz playing football for Judge and went to all the practices and games he could
How he and my mom still made sure to put Xmas presents out after I went to bed even after I was way too old for that
How he would make the dogs howl because he secretly loved it even when I said no
How he actually really did love our dogs no matter how hard he tried not to
How instead of saying love you and good bye he would hang Up calls by saying more, most, mwah and it did somehow mean more
How I know he just truly loved me so much and I hope he knows I felt the same for him and I loved him more than anyone or anything (more most mwah!!)

Kelly, Layla and Little Chaz - I got to speak with Chaz/your Dad a lot over the last year. While the topic of our conversations wasn't always easy, there is one thing I hung up knowing - that is the love he had for each of you. Over the last few days, I've enjoyed reminiscing, hearing stories about him and seeing the pictures of all of the happy memories you had together, and I hope those memories bring you comfort. Know that I love you and I'm here for you if there is anything you need.

I had the privilege of working with Chaz at Lexusof Cherry Hill. I remember Chaz always laughing and always had your back. My prayers go out to his family, especially his daughter. Layla is extremely proud of her as well as the sun Godspeed, my friend.

Kelly, Layla and Chaz— he loved you all so very much. You have many great memories together and I know they will always bring comfort and many laughs. He had a great laugh! And I’ll remember the good times always with you all. Even from way back when little Chaz was little! And back when Chaz, Kelly and I walked Matteo and Layla together in strollers. Many years and many loving memories. We love you very much and will be here for you. Love, Carolyn, Matteo and Luca

To my Childhood friend, Chaz. I'm so sorry I couldn't be there today but that doesn't mean my heart didn't break when I heard the sad news. You were my first "friend" that I had growing up. The memories we shared are forever in my heart. The fun times we had, the trouble we got into, and my most memorable moment is you sleeping over my house and us watching the "Dukes of Hazzard" Friday night at 8. The next day we would play the Dukes in your parents car along with your sister "Daisy"... it's like it was last week.
There's a 1974 song called "Seasons in the Sun" by Terry Jacks. The 1st verse of the song has always reminded me of our friendship when we were young.
Goodbye to you, my trusted friend
We've known each other since we were nine or ten
Together we've climbed hills and trees
Learned of love and ABCs
Skinned our hearts and skinned our knees
Goodbye my friend, it's hard to die
Then, we got older and went our separate ways, that happens. But I will "always" remember you and our friendship, we were inseparable when we were kids. I truly hope that you rest in peace Chaz, my friend.
To his mother, father, sister and family and friends, may God be with you through these times.

Charles, you already know how much I loved you, baby brother❣️ I’ll see you soon…until then, keep them all laughing up there. I know you saw all of your friends sitting at the restaurant today, reminiscing about how awesomely crazy you were! You made us laugh again❣️ Peace to all the hearts that will miss my brother Chaz. Rest easy knowing that he is in the company of Jesus, Mommom, Poppop, Aunt Donna and Uncle Mike, Uncle Brian, Uncle Tommy, Aunt Kathy and Xavier. 💙
