Corey Hayes-Williams

Corey Hayes-Williams born in Philadelphia, Pa. on December 25,2002 son of Jacqueline Williams, received his angel wings on Monday, November 28, 2022.

Corey was educated in the Philadelphia and Delaware County School Districts in which he didn't get a chance to complete. While Corey was employed by The Alpha Century Security Inc, Corey was also in the process of returning back to school to pursue his education in Jan 2023 and go onto college like his twin sister Collette. Corey's vision one day was to have his own business.

Corey was always known as being a goofy kid with his bright blue eyes, that can charm his way right to your heart. Corey loved the beach. Corey along with his brother Robert and twin sister Collette would go almost every summer to the beach with their grandmother Joanne Hayes who he adored.

Corey had the biggest heart. Corey saw what being homeless looked like and he would always give either food or something monetary to those he saw in need. Corey enjoyed playing basketball and football, he was a Huge fan of The Seahawks. When asked why the Seahawks, it was because he loved their colors. Corey also enjoyed playing and hanging around his cousins, whether if it was just playing basketball or watching and singing with his favorite little cousin R.J. songs from Blippi Wonders, and eating chips, and his favorite candies, starburst and airheads, he was a big kid at heart.

Corey didn't have it easy. Growing up, Corey had many challenges due to his mental illness. Corey tried his best to overcome the demons that suppressed him, but it wasn't enough to save him from the demons that took him from us.

Corey was preceded in death by his grandfather Officer Robert Hayes, cousins Peyton and Amy Hayes, and grandmother Pearl Moon.

Corey leaves to forever cherish his memory his mother Jacqueline Williams, grandmothers Joanne Hayes and Christine Bush, grandfather James Moon, siblings, his twin sister Collette Hayes-Williams, Robert Hayes-Williams, Tracy Williams Jr., Derrick Williams, Christopher Williams, Stacey Givens, Dionia Zayas, Romeo Moon, Tristan Leighton, Tyler Leighton, and Audrey Leighton. Three sister in laws, Markita Williams, Samirah Williams, and Courtney Williams, one brother in law Treviss Givens, four nieces Layla, Madison, Aria Bria, five nephews, Samir, Christopher Jr.,Cayden, Chase, and Chance, and a host of loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

I would like to mention a few special people that was a part of Corey's life: To his Uncle Ryan and Aunt Samantha, no matter what obstacles Corey was going through, he knew he could always count on the both of you. Whether it was making sure he was safe in your home, making him a sandwich in the middle of the night, or just being that person to lean on when he was struggling, I thank you with all my heart.

To Stacy Moon and Robert Hayes, his biological parents, thank you for giving life to Corey. You both had your own struggles in which it forced you to give up your child, I thank you for knowing what was best for Corey and his siblings.

On behalf of the Hayes-Williams Family, we would like to thank everyone for all of the out pours of love and support that has been shown towards us, you are greatly appreciated and we love you all.
