Oh, beautiful Erinda. Your talent, your soul. I will miss you being in this world, will remember what you taught us, will recall the beautiful words you wrote, while in my class, at the University of Pennsylvania. All the ways you loved and honored your family. You introduced me to them with these vivid opening words: "The detail I sometimes use for my way into the years before I was born, when my parents and brother were living their last couple of months in Albania, is the fact of how Mami and Babi carried their visa documents when they were traveling to Tirana, the capital, for their first interview. They were leaving from Korçë, a city four hours or so away from the capital, and they stuck their documents in a folder and tucked that folder underneath my brother. Between his back and the stroller." Love to you, always, Erinda, and love to your family.

Erinda, I felt like the best version of myself sitting across from you, talking about writing, or our young lives in the city. You loved so surely, so deeply. You made all of us recipients better. We'll carry you always in memory.

I am so sorry for your loss. Sending love to the Sheno family and thinking of you all. Erinda was incredibly kind, sweet, and thoughtful. I was lucky enough to know her not only as a friend, but a fellow classmate, writer, and colleague. I will always remember her compassionate, kind soul.

I went to middle school and college with Erinda. She was an amazing person - funny, intelligent, beautiful. When I heard the news of her passing, I was shocked... even a day later, I cannot come to terms with this news. I offer my deepest condolences to her family - even though Erinda and I had not spoken for several years, I often remembered her as one of the most hilarious, light-hearted people I've ever met. This is tragic news and I am holding the grief of this family in my heart, anyone who met Erinda loved her and cherished her.

I cannot believe this news. Erinda was a constant in my undergraduate experience as an English major, her soft but strong presence in most of my classes...I always enjoyed her insights, ever wise and thoughtful...We once had to make an awfully embarrassing acting video for our Shakespeare class, and the stoic reading of her lines juxtaposed to the hilarious effects we used was the perfect touch and made us and the class laugh...Sending her family much love and comfort at what I'm sure is an impossibly difficult time. May she rest in peace, and live on in the fond memories so many have of her

I went to high school with Erinda. We were both theatre students. She was a brilliant writer and performer. I always loved reading her work and watching her on stage. I’ll always remember her performances as Creon in our senior play and as the lead character in Stage Kiss during our junior year. She also treated everyone with kindness and cared so deeply for the school community and the community at large. She always gave me hope that this world would someday be a better place. I looked up to her a lot and hoped I could be as cool as her. I’m so saddened by the news of her passing. My thoughts are with her family and friends during this difficult time.

Erinda was an amazing person, writer, and colleague, and I feel so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with her at Vote That Jawn. She truly touched the lives of all of those she worked with, and the students of Vote That Jawn were so incredibly fortunate to learn from her. Erinda will be deeply missed. Sending love to her family and loved ones always.
