Sulejman Cejne Service Information

Sulejman Cejne, age 70, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2024. Sulejman was the beloved husband of Zyra (nee Mehmeti); the loving father of Alket Cejne (Albana) and Blerta Cejne (Klodian Rustemi). He was the proud grandfather of Maggie, Kristina and Daniel Cejne.

Sulejman was born in Albania, and was the youngest of nine (9) children. He was a very hard worker, often carrying more than one job at the same time to take care of his young family and his elderly parents. In early 1990s, with the political turmoil in Albania, Sulejman had to quickly figure out different ways to support his family and opened his own business, which he continued to operate till 2005, when he immigrated to the United States. In Philadelphia, he worked for Cardone Industry, until his retirement in 2014. In addition to his close family and friends in United States, he also leaves behind his sisters and brother, many nephews and nieces, as well as many friends in Albania and Italy. In his spare time Sulejman was an avid gardener, and enjoyed spending time in his vegetable garden. But most of all, he loved his family and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing, Wednesday February 7, 2024, 6:00 to 8:00 PM and Thursday morning February 8, 2024, 8:30 – 10:30 AM at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 9304 Old Bustleton Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19115. Interment William Penn Cemetery. Luncheon will be served at Garden of Eatin, 964 Woodbourne Road, Levittown, PA 19057.
