Frederick Ippolito

Fred passed away on Friday, January 26th, 2024 at the age of 96.  He was born in South Philadelphia to Vincent Ippolito & Giancinda Ricci in 1927. He was the beloved husband of Anna Ippolito(nee Colarelli) of 66 years. Loving father of Annamarie, Michele(Dave), and Fred(Michael) and survived by his brother Frank.

 

He was a World War II veteran who chose a career as a carpenter at a young age and continued working at the trade he loved until retirement. He had a charming personality and sense of humor with everyone he knew. He was a super fan of all Philly Sports Teams.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, February 5th from 9:15-10:15AM at St Matthew Church, 3000 Cottman Avenue, Phila PA 19149, with a Funeral Mass following at 10:30AM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the World War II Veterans Committee
