Chuck Knapp Service Information

It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Chuck Knapp.  He passed away peacefully and comfortably surrounded by his beloved family on April 6, 2023, he was 91.

Chuck was born August 19, 1931 and was raised in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. where he met and married his wife Jean Canyuch Knapp.  Shortly after getting married Chuck and Jean moved to Levittown and became original Levittown home owners. They recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary.

Chuck was a devoted husband and is survived by his wife Jean of 70 years, his 2 daughters Toni Palmeter (Andy) and Jean Trakowski (Ron) and his daughter-in-law Terrie Knapp.  He is also survived by 5 grandchildren Tara Forrest (Jim), Mark Hannah (Pravika), David, Nicole and Shannon Knapp, and 4 great grandchildren, Elizabeth and James Forrest, Damien and Nicolas Knapp.

Chuck was preceded in death by his beloved son David M. Knapp, his parents Frank and Thelma Knapp, his parents-in-laws Michael and Ann Canyuch, his brother Allan Knapp and sister Geraldine Knapp.

Chuck was a selfless man who loved his family and friends. His family always came first.  He loved life, he loved to have fun and he loved his trips to Las Vegas.  He was a retired self employed landscaper who loved his work and his customers.   His many customers also loved him back.  He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to gather Tuesday morning, April 11, 2023 from 10-11 AM, Galzerano Funeral Home 3500 Bristol-Oxford Valley Rd. Levittown PA 19057. Funeral  services  at 11:00 AM.  Interment will immediately follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 5201 Hulmeville Rd., Bensalem, Pa. 19020.

In lieu of flowers and/or donations Chuck’s wish was for everyone to celebrate his life by doing something they enjoyed most!  Said another way, have a good time on him!
