Theresa Serpiello (Petruzzelli)

Theresa Serpiello (Petruzzelli), 94, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her children on Tuesday, April 4, 2023.

 

She is survived by her loving brother Carmen Petruzzelli and her sister Anna Pykosh. She came from a large family that included her siblings Pat, Lucia, Joseph, and Germano (Jake).

 

She grew up in North Philadelphia near Fox St. and Allegheny Avenue, attended T.M. Pierce School, Fitzsimmons Junior High, and was a proud member of the first graduating class of Dobbins High School.

 

She was the loving wife of the late Daniel Serpiello.  Mother of Daniel (Eileen), James (Donna), Lorraine Gianangelo (John), Robert (Ann Marie), Theresa Motz (Joseph) and John.  She is also survived by her 13 loving grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

 

After marrying in 1952, she purchased a home in Northeast Philadelphia, and lived there happily until her passing.  She cherished her home, her family, her friends and is leaving behind a legacy of love and wonderful memories.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to call Monday, April 10 from 9 to 10am at St. Bernard’s Church, Cottage Street and Bleigh Avenue.  Her Funeral Mass will follow at 10am.  Interment St. Dominic Cemetery.
