Teuta Doko

"We had a wonderful mother, one who never grew old.  Her smile was made of sunshine, and her heart was made of solid gold."

After a two-year-long battle with stage 4 stomach cancer, she passed away this Saturday surrounded by the presence of both her daughters and mother. She was born in Fier, Albania and just celebrated her 49th birthday. She was born on December 24, 1973. She leaves behind two daughters (Yandra and Cindy), her mother (Kozare), her brother (Alfred), her sister (Shpresa) and her soon-to-be family in-laws (The Vasiu Family). She touched the lives of many and will be missed more than words can express.

The funeral will be held at Galzerano Funeral Home at 9304 Old Bustleton Avenue Philadelphia, PA 19115. It will begin at 09:30 a.m. this Saturday, February 11. The service will promptly end at 10:30 and will proceed to William Penn Cemetery located at 13041 Bustleton Ave Philadelphia PA 19116.

The family will not be holding home visits at any of the homes (Cindy/Nena/Yandra). Instead, we will be accepting donations both at the funeral home as well as online via Gofundme. The money raised will not only be used to cover some of the funeral costs but will be raised to provide a memorial donation in her name with the hopes of being able to one day help prevent another family from going through this. Thank you in advance, and any donation of any size will be largely appreciated.
