Doris Ziccardi (Baxter)

Doris Ziccardi (nee Baxter) age 93 passed away peacefully on January 30, 2023. Doris was a lifelong resident of Philadelphia, spending the majority of her life with her family in Northeast Philadelphia.

Doris was the beloved daughter of the late Rosella (Bross) and Richard Baxter. Doris was a devoted wife to the late Daniel Ziccardi. Doris was a dedicated mother to the late Deborah Ziccardi, Daniel (Monica) Ziccardi, and Michele (Barbara) Ziccardi. Loving Nana to Vincent (Wendy) Sabatino and Marisa Ziccardi. Great grandmother to Breanna and Addisyn Sabatino.

Doris’ love was the heart of our family, and her family was her world. She was the most loving and caring mom, mother-in-law, and nanny. Our beautiful memories are endless. She enjoyed spending time in the kitchen, cooking her families favorite meals, baking cakes, and hosting holiday get togethers, all while dancing and blasting her favorite music. When her kids were young, their neighborhood friends loved coming over- everyone was always welcomed.

She loved watching sports like football, baseball, and tennis. She was a Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan through and through. She also enjoyed watching game shows, reading, and doing crossword puzzles. She loved shopping and spending time with her granddaughter, Marisa who gave her so much joy. Mom was a devout dog lover, and always had a loving dog by her side.

Her love was like no other, and we will forever treasure her loving memory, and miss her with all of our hearts.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Doris’ name to RYLIE’S RESCUE. The burial will be private.
