Robert Mroz

Robert (Bob) Raymond Mroz, 80, entered eternal rest peacefully on November 19, 2022, at his residence with his family by his side. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Amelia Mroz, his in-laws Michael and Stella Feszter, and sister-in-law Donna Mikalic and her husband William Mikalic. 

Beloved husband of, Charlotte, devoted father to Robert (Colleen), Donna O’Shaughnessy (Christopher), Kathleen Bachrach (Michael), loving pop-pop to Christopher, Devin, Erin, Kyra, Caden and Alyssa, dearest brother to Joseph (Joan), Ronald and many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. 

Bob was born March 1, 1942, in Philadelphia, PA.  He was the long-time proprietor of Mroz Service Center in Port Richmond. He met the love of his life when Charlotte’s car broke down. They were married January 22, 1966 and spent the next 57 years raising their family and enjoying vacations on cruise ships.

 Bob was a veteran of the Army National Guard where he was a certified sharpshooter during the Vietnam War.  He was Honorably Discharged after 6 years. 

Bob enjoyed spending time outside riding his tractor, working in the yard, and talking with his friends about fishing crabbing, cars, and sports. Captain Bob loved spending time on his boat, “Reel Easy”, fishing and crabbing and teaching his children and grandchildren to enjoy his passions.

Lastly, if you ever met or knew Bob, we hope you cherish all your memories of him and remember his warm smile, sense of humor, and kind heart. 

Relatives and friends are invited to call Monday, November 28th from 9 to 10am at the Maternity BVM Church, 9220 Old Bustleton Avenue, Phila PA 19115.  His Funeral Mass will follow at 10am.  Interment will be private. 

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Ronald McDonald House, Toys for Tots or the American Cancer Society.
