John DePinto

On October 14th, 2022, John M. DePinto left this world to return home to the Lord.  John was born and raised in the Mayfair section of Philadelphia and attended Father Judge High School.  After being drafted into the United Stated Army, he was stationed in Arlington, Virginia, where he proudly served in Washington’s Presidential Honor Guard.  When his military service concluded, he moved back to the Northeast section of Philadelphia to embark on a career in sales and raise his family.

He was a loving and devoted husband to his wife Linda (nee Tonelli) for 54 years and father to Kimberly DePinto (Patrick Cummings) and John DePinto, and grandfather to Gianna Djuric and Jake Francis DePinto, his greatest source of Pride.

John is also survived by two brothers, Jerry DiPinto (Ellen) and Ken DePinto (Mariane), and two sisters, Donna DePinto and Sharon DePinto Pacek as well as many nieces , nephews and extended family.

John lives his life by the mantra, “do what is right,” live honestly and treat people fairly.  By all accounts, John was old school, a stoic, lived proudly by those values, and taught his children the same.  He treated everyone as a friend, took genuine interest in their lives and celebrated their successes.  All will surely miss him.

Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, October 22nd, from 9:30 to 10:30am, at St. Katherine of Siena Church, 9700 Frankford Avenue, Phila PA 19114.  His Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30am.  Interment Resurrection Cemetery in Bensalem.

In lieu of flowers his family requests donations in his name to the Wounded Warrior Project.
