Beatrice Siliquini (Merz)

Beatrice M. Siliquini (nee Merz) was Born on March 19, 1938, in Philadelphia, the daughter of Harry N. Merz and Frances Mioli.

Raised in West Philadelphia, she graduated from West Philadelphia High School.  Bea was also a student of the Fred Astaire dance academy, and later the Franklin school of technology.  She worked as a medical technician.

Bea married John J. Siliquini, Sr., M.D., on June 11, 1960.  They lived in Philadelphia, Florida, Jersey City, and finally back to Philly. Together they raised three sons: John Jr, Brian, and Christopher. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Samantha, Reeve, Logan, and Lana.

Bea enjoyed trap shooting and was a member of the Women’s trap shooting league of Philadelphia. She was a member of the Questers, an organization that supports the study of history and antiques. Bea enjoyed book club and socializing with friends.  She loved Cape May, NJ, and vacationed there frequently.   

Relatives and friends are invited to call Saturday, October 1 from 9 to 10:15am at St. Albert the Great Church, 212 Welsh Rd. Huntingdon Valley, PA 19006.  Her Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30am.  Interment St. Dominic Cemetery.
