Joseph Daulerio

Joe Daulerio, 65, of Philadelphia passed away on July 21st after a courageous 4-year battle with cancer. Loving husband of over 30 years to Joanne (Ciliberti), devoted father of Gina (Jim) and Joey Jr., caring brother of Del Paziora, and the late Stephen and Donna Daulerio. Born on April 14th 1957 to the late Zenone and Eleanor (Staffieri), stepson of the late James Maier. Survived by his sister-in-law Mary Pue (Bruce), brother-in-law Joe Ciliberti (Kathy), nieces Danielle, Angie (Meagan), Finley, Nicole, Kaitlyn and Amelia, nephews Tim, Marcus, Sean, Darius, Steve (Nicole), Stephen, Joseph, Teddy (Maggie) and Jack, and many cousins and friends.

Joe grew up in North Philadelphia on Marshall Street, attending St. Henry’s School (Class of 1972) and Northeast High School (Class of 1976). He fondly remembered his childhood years, recalling his Catholic school days and riding his bike down “Devil’s Hill”.

Joe eventually moved to the Bustleton section of Northeast Philadelphia. He was a parishioner of Maternity BVM Church and enjoyed attending mass with his family weekly. Family was everything to Joe. He enjoyed having family over for the holidays, summers in Wildwood playing in the arcades, riding rides, and ice cream on the boardwalk. He loved Philly sports, going to countless Phillies and Flyers games through the years.

Joe was a proud PGW employee for 33 years and part-time realtor for over 20. He enjoyed his work and made lifelong friends in the process. He was known to give anyone and everyone one of his real estate pens.

Joe will be remembered for many things: his famous peanut butter brownies, being the “Energizer Bunny” and always going above and beyond. He was a kid at heart with a one-of-a-kind sense of humor and the rock of the family.

Joe will be greatly missed by all.

Relatives and friends are invited to call Wednesday, July 27th from 8:30 to 9:30am at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 9304 Old Bustleton Avenue, Phila Pa 19115.  His Funeral Mass will follow at 10am at Maternity BVM Church.  Interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery in Roslyn.

In lieu of flowers family prefers donations in his name to either St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital or Shriners Hospital for Children.
