Roseanne Nelson (RESCHEDULED) (Stinsman)

Roseanne Nelson, age 80, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on January 22, 2022. Rose was born on March 15, 1941 in Philadelphia the middle child of Jim and Rose Stinsman. Rose enjoyed spending time with her family. She especially loved the times spent at the Jersey Shore with her large extended family, having parties in her beloved Sea Isle City. Rose was always her happiest dancing around the dining room table, singing “God Bless America” with her grandchildren or whipping out a “Mummers Strut” on the Wildwood Boardwalk. Always up for a road trip, Rose frequently manned the passenger seat to travel up and down the east coast visiting family.

The trip of a lifetime came when she finally visited the motherland, Ireland. After that trip, only two other things even ranked highly in her heart, that South Philadelphia is “God’s Country” and there is nothing that coffee and cake cannot fix.

Roseanne is predeceased by her husband William Nelson. She is survived by her children Mary Frances Esposito (Albert), and William McIntyre (Laura Posey),3 grandchildren A.J.(Taryn Anthony), Jenna, and Andrew, her brothers and sisters Cassie, Jim, Fran, and Marie, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to visitation on Thursday, February 3rd, 2022 from 9-10am at the Maternity B.V.M. Church 9220 Old Bustleton Ave. Philadelphia PA 19115. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10am. Interment will be held privately.
