Obituaries Lucia Sweeney (Gambone)
Lucia “Luci” Sweeney was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She passed away peacefully in her home on December 22nd, 2021 at age 70. Luci was born in South Philadelphia to Anthony Sr. & Lucy Gambone (Marchione) on October 5th, 1951. She was happily married for 44 years to her husband, Michael. Together they had 2 two children: Brian & Michele (Drew), and 3 grandchildren: Conor, Julian & Miles. Besides spending time with her family and friends, Luci loved cooking and her door was always open for Sunday dinners – the more the merrier. One of her favorite lines was always, “Make sure you don’t eat before you come over!”. She also loved the beach and traveling to different cities with her husband to see her favorite team, the Philadelphia Phillies. She touched many people with her generosity and kindness. She will forever be remembered in our hearts. Relatives and friends are invited to call Thursday, December 30th from 10 to 11am at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 9304 Old Bustleton Avenue, Phila PA 19115. Funeral Service will follow at 11am. Interment will be held privately.
