Mary Ann Ricca (Speakmen)

It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Ann Ricca, (nee Speakmen) 87, of Philadelphia PA, announce her passing on December 12,2021. To her family and friends, she will always be remembered by her beautiful smile, her kindness, love, and wisdom that she so easily shared with others. Mary Ann was avid bowler, reader, crafter, and novice computer gamer. She was born on June 25, 1934 to William and Julia Speakman of Philadelphia. Mary Ann married Anthony Ricca on November 15, 1958. Mary Ann was employed by Horn & Hardart and worked for the government after graduation form Little Flower High School. She raised three children, Leonard, Rosemarie, and Shawn before working many years at Interstate Steele as head of payroll. The holidays were always a favorite time for Mary Ann, which will be remembered by all the fabulous cookies, her beautiful voice, and decorations throughout our home. Mary Ann is survived by her two children, Rosemarie Poole and Shawn Ricca. She was the beloved sister of Julia Obetz and Margaret Toland. She leaves behind five grandchildren, and five great-grand children. Relatives and friends are invited to call Tuesday, December 28th, from 9 to 11am at Galzerano Funeral Home, 9304 Old Bustleton Ave, Philadelphia PA, 19115.
