Marie R. Farano-McBride

Marie R. (Farano) McBride, October 30, 1941 - November 27, 2021. She attended St. Hubert’s High School for Girls, she was a Registered Nurse and attended Misericordia School of Nursing and further earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania. She worked at several local hospitals, ending her career at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in downtown Philadelphia. She is survived by her sons, Albert (Kathleen) and Michael (Stacey) along with their children (Nicholas, Christopher, Logan, Delaney and Hayden), her brother, Anthony (Mary Patricia) and their three children; Marita (Michael), Regina, Anthony (Teri) and their children (Michael, Carter and Scarlett). Preceded by her parents, Michael and Maria and her brother, Emil and her great-niece, Victoria. After suffering a stroke, Marie passed peacefully, surrounded by family. She was loved by all and will not be forgotten. Relatives and friends are invited to call Saturday, December 4th from 9 to 10:30am at St. Christopher’s Church, 13301 Proctor Rd. Phila PA 19116. Her Funeral Mass will begin at 10:30am. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers family would prefer donations to the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing, 418 Curie Blvd, Philadelphia, PA 19104. The Funeral Mass will be live streamed through our Galzerano Funeral Home of Philadelphia Facebook page.
