William T. Ivins

William T. Ivins, 80, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 30th, 2021, after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease. He was born May 27th, 1941, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Dorothy and Thomas Ivins. Wild Bill was an avid street racer, on Decatur Road he was fondly referred to as the Old Man in the Green Pinto. He was a proud member of the NRA and expert marksmen. He enjoyed a fresh pack of Salem Slim Lights and being as charming as can be, but nothing made him happier than spending time with his family and living life to the fullest. He is survived by his loving daughters, Jody Voce (the late James Voce), Wendy Ivins, Amanda DeStefano (Frank DeStefano), and Andrea Morton (Brian Morton). Loving Pop to Victoria Sutton (Charles Sutton), Olivia Voce, Jake King, and Francesca DeStefano. Old Pop to Archibald, Annabella, and Amelia Sutton. Relatives and friends are invited to call Thursday, November 4th from 6 to 8pm and again Friday, November 5th from 9 to 10am at the Galzerano Funeral Home, 9304 Old Bustleton Avenue, Phila PA 19115. His Funeral Service will begin at 10am Friday. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Michael J. Fox Parkinson’s Research Foundation, PO Box 5014 Hagerstown, MD 21741-5014.
