Bernice Fisher (Kurdziel)

Bernice C Fisher, of Philadelphia, PA, passed from this life on Friday, September 3, 2021, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by loved ones. Bernice was born on December 26, 1942, to parents John and Blanche, in Philadelphia, where she was raised, along with her siblings, Catherine, Edward, John, and Mary Ann. She attended grade school at St. Ladislaus and went on to graduate from Little Flower High School. Bernice dedicated her life to her family and her faith. She married her late husband Edward, with whom she raised three beloved children, Catherine (Edmund), Daniel (Randee), and Edward (Megan). She was the world’s best grandmother to Alexandra, Corbin, Samantha, Veronica, and Victoria. Bernice was a bright light in the lives of her family, her friends, and all who were lucky enough to have met her. She was caring, compassionate, selfless, and sometimes competitive, especially when it came to pinochle and word puzzles. No matter the time, she was always there to pick up the phone or answer the door. When visiting her home on Calvert Street, you were guaranteed to be welcomed with open arms. She will be greatly missed by many. May she rest in peace. Family and friends are invited to gather on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Maternity B.V.M. Church 9220 Old Bustleton Ave. Phila. PA 19115.
