Stanley C. Magenta, Sr. "Stash" Passed away on February 16, 2018 at the age of 85 in Cape Canaveral, Florida. He was born in Philadelphia to John Magenta and Anna Rowsolinski. Stanley is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 49 years, Margaret "Peggy" (nee Palen). He was the loving father to Stanley C. Magenta, Jr and his wife Christina, and Margaret (Peggy) Burden and her husband John. He will be sadly missed by his loving grandchildren, Nicholas, Timothy, Patrick and Regina. Stanley was recently blessed with his great granddaughter Norah Leighton Magenta. He was predeceased by his late granddaughter Jaclyn Marie. He is also survived by his estranged daughter Charissa and her 3 children and 4 grandchildren. Stanley was a proud Army Veteran having served in the Korean War. He was a gifted musician and a long time member of the Polish American String Band where he was a former President and a member of their Hall of Fame. His musical talents extend to having two bands for many years, The Carpetbaggers and The Stan Traymore Trio. Stanley was part owner of RGM Heating and Air Conditioning and prior to his retirement he was a sales engineer for Kramer Associates. He was a Fourth Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus at St. Joseph the Worker Parish in Bucks County, PA and a member of The Elk's Lodge #2650 Merritt Island, Florida. Relatives and friends and members of the Polish American String Band are invited to his visitation Saturday, March 3, 2018 from 10 am to 12 noon at Galzerano Funeral Home 9304 Old Bustleton Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19115. Funeral Service will begin at 12 noon. Interment will be held privately. In Lieu of flowers the family prefers donations in his memory be made to the Polish American String Band 2727 E. Westmoreland St. Philadelphia, PA 19134
