James J. Roach, Jr.

James Roach age 62, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2019 at his home in Bensalem, PA. He was born on May 18, 1957 in Philadelphia to James Roach and Dorothy (Miller) Roach. He was the oldest of three children. He went to Lincoln High School where he excelled at sports, especially baseball. He had pitching try outs for both the Phillies and New York Mets. Jim brought his great personality and likability to his many years in the Health Care Industry. On October 11, 1986, he married Nina Moreni. They shared a loving and supportive marriage for over 30 Years. Together they raised two daughters and were blessed with two grandchildren and one Grand-Dog. Jim has an encyclopedic knowledge of movies, T.V., music and sports. He was an avid Phillies Fan who watched the Phillies win the 1980 World Series, with his dad, in the stands at Veterans Stadium. He was an advocate to many charities, especially the MS Society where he helped raise over $250,000. He is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Nina; his Daughters Shannon Frasca (Patrick) and Jeannine Roach (Nick Swartz); Grandsons Dominic Frasca and Anthony Frasca; a sister Maureen McGarvey (James) and a brother Matthew Roach (Jolanta). Plus, countless friends and people he touched with his sense of humor and warm heart. Relatives and friends are invited to call Wednesday July 17, 2019 from 9-11AM at Galzerano Funeral Home 9304 Old Bustleton Avenue Philadelphia,PA 19115. Funeral Service will follow at 11am. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National MS Society 30. S 17th ST. Suite 800 Philadelphia, PA 19103.

Memories and Condolences

Dear Nina, Shannon and Jeannine, I have just learned of Jim's passing and I am deeply saddened. When Jim worked at Wyeth he brought bring joy and happiness to each of us. He always looked for the positive in life and I will never ever forget that beautiful smile....But most importantly to Jim was his family. He LOVED his family...YOU were his life! His reason to live.. I enjoyed the many times we talked about each and everyone of you! Jim was a wonderful energetic and compassionate man who no doubt is be missed by all..Sending my love and thanks you for sharing him with us...God got a very special angel when Jim went to heaven. Bless you all!!!
Nina I am so very sorry. The two of you were very devoted to each other, truly in sickness and in health, and I know how terrible his passing is for you. Even though we don't see each other that often I always think of you and the fun we had at the MS dinners. I pray for peace and strength for you, your daughters and your grandsons. He will really be missed.
