Samuel LePera

Date of Death:
March 27th, 2020

Samuel LePera, a life-long resident of Philadelphia, went home to be with the Lord on March 27, 2020. He retired from the James D. Morrisey, Inc where he worked for 31 years as an auto and truck mechanic. His passion was always working with his hands and trying to fix things because of his great mechanical abilities. He loved to go to flea markets and look for good bargains and deals. Most of all, he loved his family and enjoyed meeting all different types of people wherever he went. He was known for his laughter, jokes and his great sense of humor. Everyone who knew Sam, knew how much he loved the Three Stooges. He could recite most of the lines from all the episodes. Sam always had a beautiful smile on his face and kind words for everyone. Another big part of Samuelโ€™s life was his pet birds โ€“ he spoiled them so much because he loved them like they were his children! Samuel is survived by his beloved Wife, Frances, his mother, Patricia and his late father, Santo, his brothers, Paul, late Michael (Patricia), John (Donna) and his sister Theresa (Phil). He is also survived by many cousins and nieces and nephews, which he was a very special Uncle to and was very proud of each one of them. We treasured our time with Samuel and we will all miss him dearly, but will always keep him close in our hearts. At this time services are private.

"Did you or did you not take that quarter out of my shoe last night?" That was the Three Stooges greeting from you every time I saw you, for as long as I can remember. I can hear you saying it now, with your roaring laughter after. I hope my mind forever allows me to hear you and see you like that.
