Memories and Condolences

Dear Lois and Family : my sincerest condolences on the sudden passing of James . I was so shocked to hear this from a fellow Maternity BVM parishioner . Jim was a pillar of our Parish for many years . We often chatted about an old-time friend we had in common, Marie Baumstark, whom Jim was neighbors with in West Philly in the 1960's and with whom I became acquainted in the 1970's when she moved to St. John Neumann Nursing Home . May he rest in peace in the palm of God's hand, well done my good and faithful servant .
I am profoundly saddened about Uncle Jim’s passing. He will never be forgotten. I always admired his deep commitment to his faith and I appreciated his love and attentiveness to my dear Aunt Lois. I will miss him teaching me interesting topics. He was special and a really good man.
Dear Lois: I was deeply sorry to hear about the passing of James. Sadly, I did not know your husband - my only knowedge of him was at daily mass. His kindness and consideration toward you was always so loving. I feel as though our morning mass congregation is a little "family", so I will miss seeing him. I live with the attitude that God has a plan for all of us - it's not always easy, but I have adopted the phrase from Fr. Quinter, "One day at a time with the Lord"!!!
Dear Lois, I am sorry and saddened by the loss of your husband. Jim was and is a very good man. His sincerity at Mass and devotion to the blessed Mother Mary will stay with me forever. He and you are a great witness to the sacrificial love of Christ. He will be missed by many. He is now in the loving arms of Jesus and Mary. God bless you. My prayers are with you always. John Boyle
