Date of Death:
June 11, 2019

Michael P. Morris “Moman” passed away unexpectedly on June 11, 2019 in Morristown NJ. Mike was a dedicated and loyal Bloomberg employee for 21 years, and most recently worked in Exchange Business Management, heading up Exchange Relationships for North America. During his career with Bloomberg, he relocated to Asia where he spent 8 years living in Hong Kong. Mike was first and foremost a family man dedicated to his wife and his two children. There is nothing he wouldn't do for his family, friends and for that matter, anyone he encountered. He was there for you, offering infectious laughter and his “infamous” jokes.Mike liked hiking the Hong Kong trails, but as an American history buff, Philadelphia remained his favorite city. He was an avid Philly sports fan, proud graduate of North Catholic High School (’88) and his alma mater Villanova University.Michael will be deeply missed by his wife Candra and their two loving children Alexandria and Nathaniel, his mother Joan (nee Benedetto) and his father, the late John Morris. He will also be missed by his loving sisters Lisa Peterson (Gary), Regina Jonas (Jack), Patricia Greer (Gary), Susanne Duffy (Andy) and Jennifer Scheidler (Dave). Michael is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.Relatives and friends are invited to call Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. and again Tuesday from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. at the GALZERANO FUNERAL HOME, 9304 Old Bustleton Avenue, Philadelphia. Memories and Condolences

Dear Sandra and family

My deepest sympathy to you and your family. Mike was such a kind supervisor to me back in Bloomberg days and I only have fond memories of him. Sending my prayers to you and your family in this difficult time. Rest In Peace, Mike.

Mike, you were a great guy and much loved by those luckiest enough to have met you. My deepest sympathies are with your family. May you rest in peace.

Sandra, Alexa and Nathaniel,

Looking at the the pictures of Michael, I am always struck by the warmth of his smile. That is the first thing I think about when I think of him. He was amongst the first of Angela’s friends whom I met and who welcomed me. I miss the laughter. I wish I had had the chance to know Michael better and longer but what I did know was great.

Michael, you will be missed in so many ways.

My deepest condolences.

Kevin

Sandra - It was with shock and sadness that I saw the news. There’s not a memory I have of Mike where there wasn’t a big smile on his face, and rarely one where it wasn’t infecting everyone around. Deepest condolences for your whole family.

So sad to hear it, my friend. Please rest in peace. From ex colleague in Japan.

RIP Mike, you are a great guy. Lots of love to Sandra and family.
